Tayta Chaka is currently developing Waka Wasi, a dedicated center where ancestral Kichwa teachings, traditional healing practices, guidance, music, and ceremony can be shared in a protected and appropriate environment.

As a Kichwa Otavalo Yachak from the Chaka lineage, Tayta Chaka carries a path connected to wisdom and healing. Waka Wasi is envisioned as a place where visitors can learn, seek balance, and connect with traditions rooted in community, nature, spirit, and daily life. Its construction will help create the conditions for that work to continue with dignity, respect, and care for future generations.

The project has also been planned with care and responsibility. Its architectural design was developed with professional support to help ensure feasibility, and functional blueprints are already in place. The first steps have already been taken, and Waka Wasi continues to grow as an ongoing project with a clear path toward construction.

By supporting Waka Wasi, you are helping to protect a living tradition and create a place where ancestral wisdom can continue to be practiced, shared, and passed on.

In accordance with the Kichwa principle of Ayni, or reciprocity, those who contribute during the early stages of the project will be honored through a ceremonial offering. This gesture recognizes that every contribution is part of a shared relationship of support, gratitude, and balance.
Rumi’s Role
Rumi, from the United States, has become an important bridge for this project.
Through his relationship with Tayta Chaka, Rumi has become part of Tayta Chaka’s family and spiritual path. He was also the first person to contribute to the beginning of the Waka Wasi Project, helping plant the first seed for its development.

Today, Rumi continues to support the project by connecting Tayta Chaka with friends, relatives, and people in the United States who feel called to contribute. His role is to help make that connection clear, direct, and trustworthy, so that support can reach Tayta Chaka and the Waka Wasi Project with care and respect.

Those who wish to contribute can contact Rumi, who can help guide the process and connect each contribution to Tayta Chaka and the construction of Waka Wasi.
